Car Atlantic Driver Frankie Muniz to Guest Star
on CBS Television's Highly-Rated "CRIMINAL
MINDS" on Wednesday, November 28
November 27, 2007 - INDIANAPOLIS - Long before he
first sat in the cockpit of a Mazda-powered Swift
016.a in the Cooper Tires Presents The Champ Car
Atlantic Championship Powered by Mazda, full-time
racer Frankie Muniz drew rave reviews for his
work on the "Malcolm in the Middle"
television series.
This week--as the critical November
"sweeps" period for television networks
draws to a close--Muniz returns to his roots and
will guest star on the highly-rated CBS series
CRIMINAL MINDS on Wednesday, November 28, airing
at 9:00 p.m. ET. The episode--titled "True
Night"--features the 21-year-old Muniz
portraying a famous comic book actor that becomes
involved in the search for a serial killer in Los
Angeles. The CBS crime drama has been rated in or
near the top 10 throughout the 2007 fall season
and recently scored its highest rating of the
season.
Muniz earned Golden Globe and Emmy Award
nominations for his work on "Malcolm in the
Middle." His film credits include starring
roles in Agent Cody Banks, Big Fat Liar and My
Dog Skip.
In 2007, Muniz competed full-time in the
hotly-contested Champ Car Atlantic Championship
with Jensen MotorSport. He earned a best result
of ninth at Toronto and twice earned bonus points
for most positions gained from start to finish on
his way to 22nd in the final point standings.
Muniz recently tested an Atlantic machine
alongside driver Carl Skerlong with US
RaceTronics in Buttonwillow, Calif. and is still
evaluating his options for the 2008 season. He
has stated that he plans to return to Champ Car
Atlantic next season with the ultimate goal of
competing in the Champ Car World Series at some
point in the future.

US RaceTronics conducts its first
session with Team Driver Carl Skerlong and
Frankie Muniz
Buttonwillow, CA (November 15 2007)
November 20, 2007 - US RaceTronics
kicked off the 2008 Cooper Tires Presents The
Champ Car Atlantic Championship Powered by Mazda
season with its first pre-season test last week
at the team's home track Buttonwillow
Raceway. While it has been over two
months since the team had been on track it didn't
take much time for them and driver Carl Skerlong
to pick up where they last left off. While
the test served to prep Skerlong for the 2008
season, it also provided fellow Champ Car
Atlantic competitor Frankie Muniz with an
opportunity to test with the team as well.
Los Angeles native and fellow competitor
Frankie Muniz also ran a full day with the US
RaceTronics team. Muniz, who is still
evaluating all of his options for the 2008
season, was also very happy with the way the test
went. With each stint the former actor
continued to improve his times and clearly became
increasingly comfortable with his new
surroundings. "The test went very
well. I got to run quite a lot of laps and
felt very good about the car and where we were
heading throughout the day. I to have been
out of the car for a while now so it's good to be
back," comments Muniz.
For his part US RaceTronics Team Owner Shane
Seneviratne also agreed that the test went well
and was pleased. "I'm happy with the way the
day went and think it was very productive.
Having Carl and Frankie in the cars was
great. We didn't encounter any problems
throughout the day and the feedback both drivers
provided was very helpful," comments
Seneviratne. "This series is so competitive
that every test is invaluable and so when we have
a test that is a success on so many levels it's a
huge positive," adds Seneviratne.
